BGR, through Diligèa S.r.l., Benefit Corporation, in common control with the energy and environmental engineering company Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) S.p.A., provides, with the highest levels of expertise, the following services:

Sustainability Reporting

The Sustainability Reporting is a crucial tool for defining business strategies, since it gives back a timely and transparent view of the company performance and commitments on ESG issues.

With our expertise:

  • we carry out materiality analysis for the selection of sustainability issues to be reported;
  • we support companies in the annual reporting process of ESG performance according to globally recognised standards (ESRS and GRI);
  • we manage the writing of the document and its graphic layout, allowing to follow the entire development until publication.

European Taxonomy

The European Taxonomy is a classification and transparency tool that establishes the criteria for determining whether an economic activity can be considered sustainable, in order to:

  • encourage the financing of companies aligned with the objectives of the European Green Deal;
  • support investors and intermediaries in adapting investment strategies to the environmental objectives of the European Union.

Thanks to our dedicated internal team, we support companies in the management of the information and in all planned steps for alignment with the European Regulation; furthermore, we propose specific risk assessments (climate and environmental) in order to make the company compliant with the environmental objectives of the European Union.

Esg Strategy

We offer companies a guidance and support service for the definition of a Sustainable Development Strategy, in response to the challenges posed by many new regulations and markets increasingly focused on the management of ESG issues and risks.

Our approach is based on an integrated vision of the governance aspects of ESG issues and the operational aspects of business and industrial processes, and it gets materialized in the following strategic activities:

  • ESG Assessment – Assessment of the company’s positioning in relation to sustainability issues;
  • Materiality analysis – Context analysis and identification of the most relevant sustainability issues for the Company and its main stakeholders;
  • Sustainability Plan – Setting up and managing of sustainability initiatives:
  • ESG training – Definition of paths for the development of sustainability skills.

Governance

In order to better monitor and manage the impacts, risks and opportunities related to Sustainability issues, it is necessary to properly structure the Corporate Governance, and more specifically the supervision of sustainability issues, implementing specific roles, procedures and processes, and equipping itself with appropriate skills.

In this regard, we support companies in the revision of regulations, processes, controls and procedures of Governance in ESG, setting up and implementing measures to integrate and improve the management of the following areas:

  • Role of the Board of Directors, Management and Control of the Company regarding sustainability issues;
  • Company policies and regulations such as Code of Ethics, ESG Policy, D&I Policy, etc.;
  • Policies and regulations regarding supplier relations management.

Carbon Footprint

Measurement and reporting of the Organization’s Carbon Footprint (CFO) is key to understanding and evaluating a company’s potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions reduction and/or compensation, implement actions to decarbonize, and comply with sustainability reporting regards.

For this reason, we make our expertise available to companies to prepare the inventory of greenhouse gases according to globally recognized methodologies (GHG Protocol and ISO 14064), complete a carbon footprint certification path and define strategies for achieving carbon neutrality consistent with the main frameworks available on the subject (e.g., SBTI – Science Based Target Initiative).

Climate Risk And Vulnerability Assessment

We identify and evaluate the current and potential impacts of climate change on companies and their activities, to improve planning and foster the adoption of effective adaptation strategies that improve operational resilience and contribute to global efforts to address the consequences of climate change.

Our analysis consists of the following steps:

  1. Climate framework and analysis of future scenarios;
  2. Identification of the main climatic risks by activity and/or establishment;
  3. Planning of adaptation strategies to consider a wide range of possible future conditions.

Biodiversity Impact Assessment

We offer companies a strategic tool to evaluate the impacts, risks, and opportunities related to the topic of biodiversity, which is increasingly relevant in the field of sustainability reporting, and define specific initiatives to protect ecosystems.

In particular, by determining the impact of operational and productive sites on the biodiversity of the surrounding protected areas, companies can:

  • Develop measures to mitigate, compensate for, and resolve biodiversity issues;
  • Fulfilling the reporting obligations of the CSRD and the European Taxonomy;
  • Demonstrate your environmental awareness, promoting long-term sustainable development.
